The Bianca Belair WWE Belt story includes one of the most unusual pairs of records in company history. If you want the short version, here it is: Belair holds both the longest reign as Raw Women’s Champion, at 420 days, and the shortest reign in the same title’s history, at just 1 minute and 35 seconds, alongside three total singles championships and Triple Crown status.
How Long Was Bianca Belair's Championship Reign
A former All SEC and All American track athlete at the University of Tennessee, Bianca Belair signed with WWE in 2016 and worked her way up through NXT before becoming one of the promotion’s biggest stars on the main roster. Her first singles title came at WrestleMania 37 in 2021, when she defeated Sasha Banks in the main event to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship, a moment that also marked the first time two African American women headlined WWE’s biggest show. She lost that title to Becky Lynch just months later at SummerSlam.
Setting The Record For Longest Raw Women's Championship Reign
Belair’s second title reign became the defining chapter of the Bianca Belair WWE Belt story. She beat Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 38 in April 2022 to win the Raw Women’s Championship, then held onto it for 420 days, the longest reign in that title’s history. WWE recognizes the official length at 419 days, and the run also stands as the longest reign of any WWE women’s championship since 2006, along with the longest reign by a Black world champion, male or female, in company history.
The Shortest Reign In The Same Title's History
Just months after losing her record setting reign to Asuka at Night of Champions 2023, Belair won the title back in a triple threat match at SummerSlam 2023 that also involved Charlotte Flair. That third reign lasted just 1 minute and 35 seconds, making her the only wrestler in WWE history to hold both the longest and shortest reigns with the exact same championship.
Tag Team Gold And Triple Crown Status
Belair’s championship history extends beyond singles competition, adding another layer to the Bianca Belair WWE Belt story. She won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship in March 2024 alongside Jade Cargill, a reign that continued into December 2024 when Naomi stepped in as Cargill’s replacement following an injury. Combined with her earlier singles title wins, that tag reign made her the ninth WWE Women’s Triple Crown Champion, an achievement that requires winning a world championship, a secondary singles title, and a tag team title.
Why Bianca Belair's Championship Legacy Stands Out
Having worked with collectors chasing pieces of the Bianca Belair WWE Belt story, I can tell you her 420 day reign gets discussed constantly whenever fans compare the modern women’s division to earlier eras. It’s a genuinely rare thing for one wrestler to hold both ends of a record book, the longest and shortest reign with the same title, and that quirk alone keeps her name in conversations about the division’s most notable champions.
